If you have not backed up Outlook Express, back it up:

That way, if all your messages are gone, you'll be able to restore.

There may be a solution for your problem at Koch's inside OE
site if you look around there after performing his clone backup,
which you should do with care, if not losing messages matters.

Okay, I've got a wierd one here. OE 6 just stopped working properly
yesterday and I don't know why. I can read my emails in the reading pane,
receive new emails, see my contacts list. However, if I try to fully open an
email or reply to an email or create a new email I get the following,
compltetely unhelpful and useless, error message:

"There was an error opening this message

An error has occurred"

Which, obviously tells me NOTHING about what the problem is so I have no
clue how to even begin tying to sort it out.

Anyone got any ideas or hints or tips for me?
