Default How to deliver to a single local folder from IMAP and Exchange

Fabio wrote:

To be more specific, when I select a local folder from the drop-down
box "Deliver new e-mail to the following delivery location", I
expected new e-mails to be automatically downloaded and shown in that
local folder (which is the topmost in the folder list view).

This is what was regularly happening with my old Exchange server
account, but as soon as I configured my new corporate IMAP account,
e-mails are shown in the server folder view, and not delivered to the
local folder, unless I move them manually.

IMAP folders can never be the delivery location They'll always stay on the
server.

A colleague of mine has done the same with his account, and it works
as expected. What else should I check in my setup, apart from the
form I mentioned before, to fix this?

I suspect there is a difference still that you don't recognize. An Exchange
account and an IMAP account can never share folders.
