outlook 2007 and 2002
The reason why is the way that it registers itself to the system (basically
a bunch of core stuff that deal with the messaging subsystem).
There is no trick or method to get around the fact that only 1 version of
Outlook can be installed.
Considering that the beta of Office 2007 is coming to a close, I would wait
until Microsoft releases a finalized copy of the product to try. However if
you don't wish to listen to this advice, the answer to your last question is
yes, you can upgrade/install the new version and use your existing PST
files. When you go to uninstall the new version in order to go back to the
old, you can. The only thing you have to be careful of when using the new
version is to not use the PST file format. It is not backward compatible.

Hi all,
I'd like to give outlook 2007 a try. However the install program says
it cant be installed side by side with any other version of outlook
(why?).
Is there any trick way around this? if not, will i be able to go back
to 2002 without loosing any emails or anything?
thanks
Ian
