Default More than one window?

THANK YOU BRUCE!!!!!!!!!

I gotta say...holy crap, Batman! All that work for something
that should be a default.

Anyway, your fix worked like a charm.

Now maybe some of the muttering about MS
and XP will be reduced around the household.

Thanks again

Does this still happen if you minimize the first open window and then click another link?

To open and minimize more than one link in OE at the same time, first close Outlook Express:

In Internet Explorer: Tools | Internet Options | Advanced. Uncheck: Reuse windows for launching shortcuts.

In Windows Explorer, or the Control Panel:

Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to {NONE} Internet Shortcut and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.
Uncheck: Use DDE

Reopen OE and it should now open more than one link at a time.

OE 6 XP Home

When I read a newsgroup such as this there is often interesting
and potentially valuable links to be found.

If I click a link it opens the page. If I click another successive
link it, too, opens but it uses the same window as the first thereby
losing the first open page.

Is there a "trick" to opening multiple pages? Using shift-click doesn't
work and right clicking a URL doesn't offer an option of opening in a
new window.

Thanks............
