For Outlook 2002/2003, click ToolsSend/Receive?Send/Receive SettingsDefine
Send/Receive Groups (or press ALT-CTRL-S while viewing a mail folder).
Select the Send/Receive group (usually All Accounts) and click Edit. Select
the account you don't want to send and uncheck "Send mail items". Click OK,
then Close. Alternatively, I think you can also remove it from the
Send/Receive group altogether (i.e., uncheck "Include the selected account
in this group) and make sure "Send immediately when connected" is checked on
ToolsOptionsMail Setup.

I get 6 'splash' boxes asking me to enter my network password. This
process happens every minute. The only way to bypass it is to close
each window using 'X' button.

I've tried deselecting the faulty account from 'All accounts' and setting up
a seperate group but it didn't work. I've now tried, following your response,
keeping the faulty account in 'All accounts' and unchecking the 'Send mail
items' it allows the receiving of mail without reporting an error. So thats
an improvement. However, I still get the 6 splash windows asking for the
correct username/password. I enter both correctly and press OK. Only to get
the same splash windows.

I've cancelled 48 splash windows in writing this message. ah...

The MS Knowldegebase has articles on this matter, the references to which
have been posted numerous times in this group.
