I've tried doing a repair, changing or adding a new profile, uninstalled and
reinstalled and I still get the same results. When I click to open outlook,
it starts up with an install dialog box, then after about 10 minutes tells
me it can't find it. If I try canceling, it says canceling, but I can't get
past that dialog box or into outlook. I don't know what to do. I can't
access my contact list on live mail, it tells me it's trying to process the
request and does nothing, MSN Premium tells me I should have office live,
but I don't and don't know how to get it. I can't sync my PDA/phone or get
to my contacts and note information. I'm really getting concerned. I've got
years of information and if I can't get outlook to open, I can't get to any
of the information. PLEASE HELP! :-(

I had outlook 2002 and just updated to 2003. I installed from the CD just
outlook and not any of the other apps. now when I try to open it, I get a
"Windows Installer" dialog box telling me it's preparing to install. I get
the same results whether I have the CD in the drive or not. After about 10
minutes, it tells me it can't find the install server.
Anyone know what I need to do to get this thing working.
Also, when I go onto mail.live.com and try to access my contacts, it tells
me it's trying to process my request, until I finally cancel out after 5
or so minutes. I did have the connector installed on my old version of
outlook and I wonder if one has anything to do with the other... not that
I believe it does.
Thanks,
Carol
