Autocompletion has nothing at all to do with your Contact data, so the
Nickname field is never in play.
Only the autocompletion cache is searched using the algorithm described in
the third paragraph he

Will Find based on Andy or Clark, but not Ace, if i put "Ace" into

/ address book / autocomplete / nicknames seems to be such a tangled mess
