Default OE identities again

I managed to completely uninstall BullGuard, don't have any anti-spam
program. My anti-virus program doesn't have email scanning. Nothing helped.
Whenever I open OE it creates a new identity -Profil1

Can someone help?
Izabela

I tried and tried, and couldn't find how to do it. No wonder! It turned out
Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic doesn't have a MailGuard so I can't
switch it off!

What next?
Izabela - an avarage computer user who doesn't know about not installing a
spyware and spam protection at the same time :-)

You had both SPAMfighter and SPYWAREfighter installed? I wouldn't be
surprised if they caused even worse problems.

Start by disabling AntiVir's email scanning and see how things are.

I don't have any of the applications you have listed. I am using Avira
Anti
Vir PE Classic, but can't find how to swich off email scanning in it.
But now, when I think of it, I do have some left over of a BullGuard,
which
was improperly uninstalled some time ago. I will check it out and be
back.
Thank you

Options/settings in several third-party applications may be disallowing
the change. These include Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer,
SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or
Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro).

I only need one identity in my OE. I named it with my name. But when I
close
OE and re-open it, a new identity, 'Profil1' comes up and
automatically
opens all new emails. I delete it, but it keeps comimg back. So I
deleted
'My name' identity, and changed 'Profil1' to 'My name'. New 'Profil1'
comes
up. So I always have two identities. It's very annoing.

You suggested it may be a problem with anti-spam program, so I
uninstalled
it. No, it didn't help.

How do I get rid of 'Profil1' poping up? Can I move emails from one
identity
to another? I could then stay with Profil1 but don't want to loose all
data
in 'My name'

Thank you
Izabela
