OE Updates?

Has MS issued any updates to OE?
My son has recently bought a new Dell w/xp & ie6, OE6 which is
configured with a 'spam' folder.
Dell in particular does a LOT of modifications to its new computers, so that
would have been setup by Dell. It's most likely for an antivirus program
bundled with the computer to attempt to separate out spam and put in in the
spam folder for you, rather than have it dirtying up the Inbox.
Somewhere in the docs there will be an explanation but that's as far as I
can take in that direction. It's probably Norton or McAfee that was
installed for you; the first year will usually be free and after that you
start paying for the subscriptions. WELL worth it, but ... there are also
freebies available once you get you feet under you.
In a way, I like Dell doing that, but I do NOT like it that the user (you,
your son) aren't told anything about it or what it's for! That's just plain
stupid, IMO. I guess RTFM applies here.
