Default Outlook installing, can't find server

First, can you post the entire error message please? Second, have you tried
reverting back to Outlook 2002 to gain access to your contacts, etc?

When I go into the control panel and click on mail, I get that windows
installer. I've tried deleting the profiles and creating a new profile,

but
I still get that windows installer.
Also I can't close outlook when It tries to open and I try to cancel the
windows installer, I have to do the ctrl-alt-del but I have the outlook

icon
in the task bar and if I click on it, I get a message something like, if I
have an exchange server I can cancel the request by clicking on the

icon...
but I don't.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.

I had outlook 2002 and just updated to 2003. I installed from the CD just
outlook and not any of the other apps. now when I try to open it, I get a
"Windows Installer" dialog box telling me it's preparing to install. I

get
the same results whether I have the CD in the drive or not. After about

10
minutes, it tells me it can't find the install server.

Anyone know what I need to do to get this thing working.

Also, when I go onto mail.live.com and try to access my contacts, it

tells
me it's trying to process my request, until I finally cancel out after 5
or so minutes. I did have the connector installed on my old version of
outlook and I wonder if one has anything to do with the other... not

that
I believe it does.
Thanks,
Carol
