Default Hotmail & Outlook Express problem....again ?

I really don't know what they mean by that. I have never understood
Hotamail or the WebDAV extensions they use.

I'm sorry to bother you again, but I'm not getting
much help from Microsoft. Just canned letters
that
don't address the problem. I've done some quick
checks with my ISP (Road Runner) and it shows
that they have been able to "connect" to hotmail
both inbound and outbound. I keep getting the
same error msg.
What do them mean "Authorization Required" ?
Is that from Microsoft or from my ISP ?
Oh, Hotmail was down for awhile today too, they
said it was too many people or something like
that.
Thanks !
Bubey

What does this error msg mean? I have been
using
Outlook Express for my hotmail
for year and am Grandfathered in so I don't have
to pay. I periodically have this
problem. Usually I just delete the account and
then re-build it and everything
works fine.......for awhile. I would like to
find
out why this happens and what I can
do to make it quit happening.

Error: Unable to poll for new messages on your
HTTP server. Account: 'Catlovr',
Server:
Protocol: HTTPMail,
Server Response: 'Authorization Required', Port:
0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC32

The connection between Outlook Express and the
HTTP servers has never been
great. Every once in a while problems like this
clear up. Apparently MS
does something with the servers and the problem
clears up in a few hours or
as much as a couple weeks. There is generally no
need to delete and
re-enter the account. Try again later or, if you
aren't patient enough, use
IE.
