I didn`t know that I would have to reset the newsgroup, Frank. Thank
you for telling me, as when I did so, my post had gone.

Sorry to keep on about this, but the message still hasn`t been
cancelled and each time I click "Cancel Message" an email to the
server is generated, but when I open it, there is no body text. Is
that correct?

If it's already in your OE database that's what you're seeing.
You'll have to reset the newsgroup to see if it's really gone.

In general, canceling messages is a waste of time. The news server
may not honor the cancel request and besides, it's already
propagated to other servers around the world.

The Microsoft server does not honor message cancellation requests.
