Thank-you Charlie I did copy and paste it into the message omitting the
address.. I can send a message using yahoo or MSN but putting in the address
that gets rejected when using outlook express..the other problem that I have
I have looked into tools options then done as you ask,I already have it
ticked in there..sorry to be a bother..

The message seems to clearly indicate that the problem is at the other
end, however it always helps if you can copy the exact text of the message
and paste it into the post when you ask a question. There are many ways to
do e-mail so this error message really isn't telling us anything specific.

You mention "Their other addresses" but don't specify whether you use some
other mail system (Like yahoo?) to send to them ... this is a totally
different system so no surprises there.

Also what kind of email address are these "Others"? Obviously don't give
them here but again if they have something@yahoo and something@ISP these
messages will be received by them in a totally different way.

For the second issue on the main OE window, not a message window, go
toolsoptions and on the general tab you should see "Send Receive at
startup" and "Check for new messages every xx Minutes".

The first option can sometimes make our computer seem slow starting, but
the second option should solve your problem.

Can you fill in a few details on the other problem?

Could anyone please advise me on this problem that I have just started
having..When I send a e-mail to my friend I get a Mail System
error....returned mail back as I have been sending to this same address
for a long time could you tell me why it is just happening? the message
says....This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:

Your message was not delivered because the destination computer was
not reachable within the allowed queue period. The amount of time
a message is queued before it is returned depends on local configura-
tion parameters.

Most likely there is a network problem that prevented delivery, but
it is also possible that the computer is turned off, or does not
have a mail system running right now.

I can write to them with there other addresses but not through outlook
express. This problem has only started..
Also My incoming mail does not download automatically as it did before I
have to just click send/receive and click my default name then it
downloads..
Thank -you for any help on these matters ,I am fairly new working the
computer so don't really know what to do.
Kathy
