Default Restoring "folder" dbx files?

Thanks Frank. Can I infer from your reply post that
ANY file that previuosly existed in OE can be directly
replaced by a backup copy?

Yes, as long as the folder you want to restore exists in OE. Since OE
will always recreate Sent Items if one does not exist, your specific
example will work.

When attempting to restore a OE dbx file (which
of course corresponds to a "folder" in OE) from
backups of the entire OE folder, can one simply
restore the single file, or is there some sort of
interdependency with the "Folders.dbx" file. For
example, if a group of e-mails were deleted from
the "Sent Items" folder, and the "Deleted Items"
folder had also been emptied, could one simply
restore a previously saved copy of the
"Sent Items.dbx" file known to contain the
deleted items?
