Default Lost AddrBook when upgrading to IE7 and Office 2003

Try this and see if it fixes it:

Go to Start | Run and type the following:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg
(Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure that is correct)

Make certain to include the quotations marks and the space between the
ending quotation mark and the slash.

Then open Internet Explorer and go to Tools\Internet Options\Programs and
set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

This may have been caused by the changes to Outlook, which insists that it
should be the default mail program. Good luck.

MS XP Pro SP2, w/auto-updates enabled

Yesterday, I upgraded from IE6 to IE7, and from Office 2000 to Office
2003. This morning, OE6 won't let me create or reply to email -- it
complains about the Address Book or missing components.

A search of my disk shows a single .wab file from 2004. I opened it
using wab.exe, and it's from 2004 all right.

I've gone through the KBase and other Google hits. I've edited the
WAB4 UseOutlook key in the registry (set it to 0) etc. to no avail.

I auto-run a backup every night (Second Copy 2000; simply copy mode)
but it looks like the 2004 address book has overwritten any more
recent one I may have had on the backup.

I'm screwed, I guess?
