i just got a new laptop...when i get new mail, i do not get a sound or
an icon in my systray. i've looked at the outlook settings, i tell it
to play a sound when new messages come in - nothing. i tried looking
in systray properties to see if it's always hidden - the new message
notification is not even an option in this list. i have XP, it's a
dell, and i had pccillin email scan (trend micro) on until now - still
does not notify me. all in all it's pretty frustrating. can anyone
help me force this to work somehow?
