Ahh, not surprising, I think, because of the vodafone mention; I've had
dealings with them before and the "problem" is becoming more widespread as
more ISPs follow suit in the fight against bottom-feeding, bass-turd
spammers.

In plain English (hope that's your native language; it is mine), that 550
error, I believe, is saying that you are trying to send an email "from" a
non-vodafone server or, in other words, to effect a relay of your mail thru
vodafone from protezione.
VZ does something similar but I've never been able to figure out just
what they do because sometimes it'll work and sometimes it won't.

If you Google for "550 error" you'll get a lot of hits, some pretty
useful above and beyond this one.
The link above is rather a long page, but does a decent job of explaining
it, IMO. There's not much else I can offer for this problem I'm afraid. It
was worth a try.
