I guess I'll have to pay then, because my email ends with yahoo.com.
Another hurdle to climb, because the sign up page won't accept my card
details. Yahoo are currently looking into it. Maybe I should try to sign up
to a yahoo.co.uk email.

Only true for yahoo.com and yahoo.ca All other domains, such as
yahoo.co.uk, can be accessed through any email program such as Outlook
Express and Thunderbird. I use a few from the yahoo.es domain on two of my
computers with Outlook Express. You just got to make sure that you
activate it on the Yahoo web mail access or it won't work.
