Sorry, but there is no data file button to push when I open the Control
panel's mail applet. Nothing simple is ever easy.

It's that thing labeled "Mail" in the Control Panel, as I already said.
Viewing Control Panel in the Classic view may make it easier to find.

And then what do I do with the data files button.
