Got a stupid question here gang so bear with me on this one :-))
I'd like to NOT have Windows Messenger either in my start up or running in
the background.
Now on the surface this seems simple enough. Go into Messenger options and
uncheck both boxes for (run in the background) and (run at
startup).............seems simple enough to me :-)) Then just for good
measure, go into msconfig and uncheck it there as well in your selective
startup.
Can someone PLEASE tell me why, after doing all this and following
Microsoft's own path to get this done, the program STILL shows on the
taskbar, and on the start menu?
And in the task manager as well, I'm showing Windows Messenger and Outlook
Express as running together every time OE opens!
I MUST be missing something here folks. Could it be that Microsoft just
doesn't want this program shut down for any reason even if you follow
their own instructions for shutting it down?? :-))))))))))))))))))
Somebody please educate me on this will you? I'd sure appreciate it.
