Just writing back to Thank those who responded to my earlier posts
regarding my OE problems and the possibility /issues involved moving
to Thunderbird....it has been a week now and most everything seems to
be OK!
No problems that I am aware of and I believe it is just a learning
curve I need to go through in order to be more comfortable.
There are some idiosyncrasies but none that seem to matter.

I am running the MozBackup to accomplish the backup and that seems to
be working out OK too.

I only have 4 or 5 filters at this point but will be installing more
in the future. I don't think I will get to the numbers I had before as
I have been using the junk control and the inbox appears to be much
better.

The biggest thing for me is that the views of my messages does not
change--before OE would have to be restarted when messages all of a
sudden were not there any longer.

All mail, rules and address book imported just fine.

This appears to be a product that works as advertised.
