Default Outlook 2007 Contacts no longer "searchable" need help reindex

Could you be a little more specific?

I see the same search dialog in the toolbar. I've searched with it, and it
brings up a window that lets you further search in Contacts. I looked for a
specific name in contacts in this window, but it still couldn't find
anything. But I don't see anything that lets you trigger a reindex.

thanks for your help!

you need to trigger it from Windows Desktop Search - there should be an icon
in your toolbar to do this.

My contacts in Outlook 2007 are no longer "searchable".

when in the Contacts screen, there is a dialog box with Search Contacts,
which has been working just fine.

For some reason, it cannot find any names at all... I've tried switching
back & forth between "Search in current category" to "Search in All
Categories", and it makes no difference. I've looked at the indexing
status
that says indexing is complete.

Can anyone tell me how to trigger a "re-index" or does anyone have any
other
ideas?

Thanks!
