Brian,
Sorry it took so long to respond. When I open the mail applet I see a
window that only has one tab and it lists my internet account address. To
the left there are buttons to add, remove, properties, import or export. I
had previously been using Outlook Office 98, and the newer computer has
Office/Outlook 2000.

What exactly do you see? I can't see where you've stated your Outlook
version, either. Different versions of Outlook have different Mail applet
options.
