Microsoft Outlook 2002

Microsoft Outlook freezes when downloading email from a pop3 server. No
error messages. I have to close it through applications in the task
manager. Then i get the message Microsoft Outlook is not responding, and
then it closes.
Repair does not fix the issue.
Any ideas.
