Default msimn error

Mr. Hagen - Earlier this month I had posted a question about an error message
I was getting after checking OE for any activity. Then, recently I saw the
posting of this msimn error (same as I was having) and read your general
precautions on OE. The unchecking of compacting messages in the background
seems to have cleared up my getting the error message I was getting. Thank
you.

Now, compact your folders.

Click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders are
open. Then: File | Work Offline (or double click Working Online in the
Status Bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until
the compacting is completed. Reboot.

General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They will eventually become
corrupt. Create your own user defined folders for storing mail and move your
mail to them. Empty Deleted Items folder regularly. Keep user created
folders under 100MB, and Default folders as empty as is feasible.

After you are done, follow up by compacting your folders manually while
working *offline* and do it often.

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:

In Tools | Options | Maintenance: Uncheck Compact messages in background and
leave it unchecked. {N/A if running XP/SP2}.

If you still have problems, post the entire error message and your Windows
version.

MS help page after googling "msimn error" and found what I think is a fix,

found these, I right clicked on [inbox] and then clicked on properties.

"archive" box was checked at the bottom and it said the file size was
720MB.
I have very few messages in my "inbox" and know that the files in there

no where near this size. It seems that it contains every email I have
ever
received. I'm thinking that is where the "archive" issue might come into
play. How do you access these emails if they have been archived?? Should

have the "read only" box checked?? There is also an [inbox1] in there
right
below the other [inbox] that has 360MB of memory being used. I tried
double
clicking on these two and a box appeared asking me what program did I want
to
use to open these up. I have no idea. I'm thinking that the size of
these
two files is giving me the problems and would like to delete what is in
there.
