Default Do you want to compact window (backups in the recycle bin)

How often do you compact your folders? If you do it a lot, the Recycle Bin
will become huge if you have huge OE folders and even if you keep emptying
it, you will have to Defrag more often, especially if you have a small HD,
or a very full HD.

MVP's:

I have noticed since this change was implemented with the last windows
update that my hard drive gets fragmented more often. Before this change,
I defragged once a month. Now I have to defrag once a week or more.

Questions:
1 - Is this normal with this change?
2 - Is it okay to defrag more than once a month?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Hi
All of a sudden, when the "do you want to compact" window appears,
as always I say OK.
The compact window starts and THEN a second window now appears
that says "copying", It doesn't show what it is copying.

What is going on ?
Thanks Frank

It's making a backup of your folders. The backups are in the re-cycle
bin. If all is well after compacting you can delete these.
