Default Do you want to compact window (backups in the recycle bin)

MVP's:

I have noticed since this change was implemented with the last windows
update that my hard drive gets fragmented more often. Before this change,
I defragged once a month. Now I have to defrag once a week or more.

Questions:
1 - Is this normal with this change?
2 - Is it okay to defrag more than once a month?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's making a backup of your folders. The backups are in the re-cycle
bin. If all is well after compacting you can delete these.
