My sincerest apologies. I do have an 'add/remove' section on the CD.
Although as I stated before the little '1' is by the HD icon. The CD thought
it was installed.

I used the 'add/remove' to remove it then reinstalled. All is fine now.
Chirping right along...

I took a chance and guessed that the CD was going by my previous installion
on my old HD. Sure enough, that was the problem.
