Default Outlook 2003 stops getting email--how do I fix?

Outlook and Outlook Express are entirely different programs. You will get
better help in an MS Outlook newsgroup:

I've been using Outlook 2003 for managing email from my ISP, Comcast.
All of a sudden it stopped working. I just get time out messages. I
went over the settings with the Comcast tech support, and they are
correct.

These are the error messages I get

Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP)
server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Task 'mail.comcast.net - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) : 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP)
server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

The support person told me to look for a patch on the Microsoft website
using the error message code, but all I could find was a 2004 patch
for the 2000 version of Outlook. Does any know where there is a 2003
patch for the same problem.

BTW, Microsoft tech support wants $35 for a service call, so maybe
someone out there has had this problem before and knows how to fix it.
