These are peer to peer groups and you won't find anyone from MS in them.
There are no workarounds and no way to get what you want. Maybe it will be
fixed in SP1. Until then there's no way to do it.

So, I am creating a dummy appointment and can get the date that falls
somewhere in the current view and would have been able to calculate the
start and end dates of the view, but the CurrentViewMode is broken as
well, so there is no way for me to identify which view is displayed. Any
