Errors galore when starting OE
Yesterday I started my OE as I have normally done in the past many years, I
suddenly receive three errors in a row upon starting it.
The first alert error says:
"The identity login could not be started. Some components are either missing
or incorrectly configured."
The immediate second error alert says:
"Outlook Express could not be started. It may not be installed correctly.
Make sure that your disk is not full or that you are not out of memory.
Contact Microsoft support for further assistance. (0x8007045A)"
I have more than enough memory, and I nearly have a gig of disk space
available.
The third alert says:
"Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be
initialized. Outlook Express may not be installed correctly."
This all occurred out of the blue. I haven't downloaded anything, nor
deleted any files prior to all this error business.
I did the Add/Remove Windows Components proceedure as described in the tech
support page on fixing any issues. Unfortunately I still keep getting the
error.
Any assistance to resolve this matter is greatly appreciated. A great many
