If you don't use an Exchange server, why did you specify this for your account server????

Control Panel-Mail Icon-Accounts. Remove Exchange, back up and install your POP3 or IMAP account.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, vaulter asked:

| Home now it defaults to this and I can't get outlook to open. I have
| removed and re--installed office but still the same message.
