Default sending e-mail via comcast

Comcast does support port 587 for SMTP. But also requires SMTP
authentication.

The port number for sending mail with Comcast should be 25 and not
587. Make sure that you do not have *ANY* antispam or antivirus
program set to scan email and reset the port under Tools/Accounts -
Mail tab for the Comcast account.

Hello:

I receive e-mail via my comcast account, but I am having difficulty
sending. I thought I saw this in here before, but cannot locate it
again. Thanks for your help...here is the error message:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.comcast.net',
Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have double checked my settings and they appear to be fine
