GroupWise provided users with a lot of information about internal
recipients' behaviour - they could see by looking at the email in their
Inbox whether it had been read yet. The icon changed to show status. This
is not possible so easily in Outlook - they are required to set a Read or
Delivery Receipt and yes, the recipient can then decide whether they send
one back or not.
Receipts are Read and Delivery Receipts.
Show them how to convert an email to a Task in Outlook as many would have
used that function in GroupWise - Right mouse drag email to Tasks folder and
select Move here as Task with Attachment.
Tell them to right mouse click everywhere! And also to drag and drop.
Show them that presence is available for Contacts by Right clicking email
addresses in open emails.
Outlook has so many more functions that GroupWise - get them positive about
it and they'll stop whining about what works differently!
I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

what did you have before. I have some experience with helping people
train
staff after migrating and could have a few clues to help you with their
frustrations.

Our company, 750+ users, are new to Outlook and VERY frustrated
especially
with the tracking options and appointments. I've searched to get some
explanation as to what each of these features mean under this dialog
box
such
as "process requests and responses upon arrival" - what type of
requests,
what type of responses? Message, appointments, tasks. What?? Process
receipts
upon arrival - what receipts; mail, appointment? Clarification would be
wonderful.
The tracking options feature only seems to frustrate senders of
messages
since it only works if the message receipient has enabled their account
to
respond. Is this correct?
