Default Cannot generate email to any of my Contacts

In ,
Jeff typed:
I'm on an Exchange email server with my company, so the default
address book is the Exchange one, and it just works. That's fine
most of the time.
But - I have added a number of contacts to my Contacts folder - I can
see them when I use the Contacts tab. But when I create a new mail
message, then
click the 'To' button, and use the drop-down in the 'Show Names from
the' box - Contacts is not offered as one of the available sources.

Further - if I try to generate a 'new message to contact' from within
the Contacts folder, I get an error message.

Can anyone suggest a solution please? I'm working with Outlook 2003
Thanks,
Jeff

Right-click on your contacts folder, go to properties, Outlook Address Book
tab, and tick the box.
If this doesn't work - you will need to remove the Outlook Address Book
service from your profile, restart Outlook, re-add the service, and then try
again. Tools | email accounts | view/modify address books | other (this is
from memory, sorry).
