After furious head scratching, Tom asked:
| I want to be able with no pop-up warning to open .doc, .jpg, .bmp
| files, etc in Outlook 2007 running in Vista and accessing an Exchange
| server.
|
| The "Always ask before opening this type of file" prompt is disabled,
| so I can't uncheck the box.
|
| I understand that if I uncheck the box on this prompt, that I will be
| reducing my computer's security. (I also show extensions for all
| files, so I know what I'm clicking.)
|
| In XP, this was done in the Windows Explorer, under Tools, File
| Types. But it's no longer available there.
|
| I've been told to edit EditFlags in the registry for each file type.
| However, this is too error prone, etc.
|
| Isn't there a way to simply un-disable the "Always ask before opening
| this type of file" so I can remove the check box next to it?
|
| I have adminstrator privileges.
