Yes, a thing of the future as many companies don't want the hassle but need the benefits. I have seen many of them cropping up lately, and expect more with Exchange 2007 in the mix.

| hosted Exchange account. Plenty of companies offer them nowadays; I
| have a friend who loves www.mailstreet.com. Then she gets full
| Exchange with no in-house admin requirements - she can use OOF, OWA,
| wireless activesync to a handheld, whatnot, as well as accessing her
| mailbox over the internet securely using RPC over HTTP(s).
