Default Changing ISP's

Be careful using PeoplePC. They have a proprietary dialer software and you may not get your
antivirus program to automatically update off the Internet. (Or any other program that requires
automatic updates).
You will be forced to manually update these programs after you establish your Internet connection.

Thank you both, Bruce and Jim, for your quick responses.
I sort of anticipated your answer, Bruce, but Jim's reply is something new
to me and will need some extra attention.
Now I feel better about changing ISP's.
The links are very helpful also.

Harry.

Changing ISPs should not affect OE as it is part of your operating system
and not part of your ISP. That said, it is always a good idea to backup OE
so if anything should happen, your folders and messages can be replaced.

Sorry for making myself not clear enough, Bruce.
I would like to save my 'Sent items' and an entire created New Folder'
with
its subfolders, if that's possible.

Harry.

If you want to save your account settings for Copper.net: Tools |
Accounts
|
Mail | Export. But these settings will mean nothing if you cancel your
account with Cooper. Or am I misunderstanding what you want to save?

The
server settings for PeoplePC will be different.

Currently I have Copper.Net, which incorporates OE in it's mail

system.
Changing to PeoplePC will involve a change in the setup for OE6 and,

in
my
opinion, a loss of the current account.
Is there an easy way to save this information and transfer it to the
new
account?

Harry.
