Default Email Line Spacing Nightmares - I give up! Help!

I think I have solved this. Here's what to do (for Outlook 2007 - may work
for other versions):

1. Delete Templates/NormalEmail.dotm (the email doc template) after closing
Outlook. It will be recreated.
2. Do not make any changes to the default Paragraph settings for Normal
thereafter.
3. For your signatures, set the Paragraph line spacing to Single, 0pt
above, 0pt below. Use Shift+Enter twice to add a paragraph break between
lines if needed, rather than pressing Enter once.
4. At the top of each Signature (in the edit signatures box), also add
Shift+Enter twice, to give a paragraph break between the body of the email
and the signature.

This is working when emailing, replying, and forwarding messages from
Outlook to other providers.

There are literally 100s of messages about this over Google Groups, but no
clear solutions. I therefore hope this helps others.

Dear Outlook Team

I officially give up. I had this problem with Outlook 2003 but it got
better after I messed around with the template and signatures. If only I
could remember what I did. Now with Outlook 2007 (Trial) it is back with
a vengeance:

If I email someone, it all looks fine on my screen. E.g.:

Dear Sir

How are you?

Goodbye.

But when they reply quoting my message, it looks something like this:

Dear Sir

How are you?

Goodbye.

I have tried setting the 'normal' style to both 0pt, and Auto for
Paragraph spacing. One way they recieve it with double-spacing as above,
the other way they receive it with no spacing, like below, but never with
single spacing!:

Dear Sir
How are you?
Goodbye.

Is it really that hard for people to receive the email how it looks on my
screen? It is the 21st century -- 2007, Outlook tells me!

Can you please advise exactly how I should set up my normal template and
signature line breaks to get all running smoothly.

Please also list where and how to edit the template for the best effect.

Many many thanks in advance for helping me and future Googlers for this
common and frustrating issue.
