You will need to use either Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 to access a ..pst file created in the new Unicode format with Outlook 2003 or later.

which 2003 outlook was pre-installed. I saved psts externally. I did not have
any recovery cds before formatting. I re-installed XP SP2 and XP office - and
thus I had 2002 outlook and I could not import (or FileOpenoutlook data
filebrowse) the formerly saved PSTs. What suggestion do you have? Does it
make sense to use the 2007 trial version, buy outlook or something else that
will allow me to make use of outlook 2003 files?
