Although I would recommend backing up your data first, mine seems to be
intact. I do not maintain a large archive of emails; I have only contacts
imported from another program; and I don't use OUtlook for scheduling.

on Office Standard defaulted to allow earlier versions co-exist, but then
wouldn't install Outlook of the old version was still present. I had to
select an option in the install program that selected to UNINSTALL Outlook
earlier version ONLY, then install ONLY Outlook and the shared programs.
