How to disable 'location information'?
Hi,
Whenever I enter a new contact (or try to) I'm asked to enter location
information. In older MS OSs there was a checkbox to disable this feature
(in Regional Settings if I remember correctly) but I can't find out how to
disable it in Office 2003 / XP Pro.
Before anyone answers "enter the correct settings" I _can_ do that but then
the system proceeds to corrupt all of my contacts and my Cellphone (been
there, not doing THAT again). I keep all my numbers in ITU form because I
travel abroad regularly so they need to be ITU for my Cell. I don't make any
calls from contacts - I just want it to accept the numbers I put in without
altering them.
The feature would be annoying if I merely had to work out from the displayed
number what it really meant depending on where in the world I am. I am over
21, reasonably educated, and can use a telephone correctly. Unfortunately
whatever I enter for 'where I am' it then edits my numbers to change them.
Does this mean I can't use outlook contacts? I can't have it adjusting my
phone numbers and storing incorrect ones on the cell, but I can't see any way
of disabling the setting that's altering them.
Any help disabling the feature much appreciated.
