Default Outlook 2007, calendaring, PRIVATE flag

to remove the private flag from many at once, group by the private field and
drag the ones in the private: yes group into the private: no group.

Thanks. You prompted me to recall that a couple of years back I played
around
with forms - and one is still there. I've just deselected it and the
problem
is solved.
Thanks again.

Do you use Outlook at work or home?
Have you created a Template for your appointments?

Nikki,
thanks for your reply. However, it hasn't worked. The setting was
infact
Normal. I set it to Private, reloaded Outlook, set it back to Normal,
reloaded and so on but the new appointments still have Private flag
set.
One
other annoyance is that its category is Personal. Is there a way I can
change
whatever template is being used to create the new appointment?

Turn off the Global setting.

- Select the TOOLS menu
- Select OPTIONS...
- From the Preferences tab click the E-MAIL OPTIONS... button
- Click the ADVANCED E-MAIL OPTIONS... button

Near the bottom of the window is the "When sending a message" area.
Change the "Set sensitivity:" to NORMAL.

I am using the trial version of O 2007. New appointments have the
privacy
flag set by default. Is there a way I can prevent this so that I
don't
have
to make an extra click for every item I create?
Thanks,
Nigel Barton
