Default IE 7 bug caused my system to crash- beware

Buenas noches:
No sé ni palabra de inglés. Escriban sus textos en ESPAÑOL, pues por no
saber leerlos no me entero nada de lo que me dicen.
Mientras tanto, les devolveré todos sus correos.

Old news, Joe. But the place for concerns with IE7 is not the Outlook
Express newsgroup, or XP.

For help with IE7, Please post to the Internet Explorer General Newsgroup.

In your Newsreader:

On the Web:

Several weeks ago, I discovered that IE 7 was automatically downloaded-
so I installed it. Then I started having problems- I couldn't run HP's
Director program for printers, scanners and all in one units. Because I'm
always making changes to my computer, I didn't connect the dots back to
the IE 7 installation.

As I tried to fix Director, my computer became ever more unstable until I
had to reformat and reinstall everything, which made me rather unhappy-
especially not knowing what caused the problem.

So, I was happy to read in the Feb. issue of PC World that this is a
known problem- IE7 causes the Director program to fail. On page 47, it
does give an URL to a fix.

So, beware of this bug, unless you like formatting and reinstalling
everything!

Joe
