To create a named range in Excel 2007:
1) Select all the cells to be included in the range (in other words, all the data you want to import)
2) In the Name Box, the box right under the Clipboard group (the box that shows the name of the current cell), type in the name you want to give the range. It cannot contain spaces.
3) Save the file.
That's all there is to it.

I need some help too
I just installed Office 2007 on my computer. I have rogers e-mail and
addresses so Exported them to an Excel File I had to save it as an earlier
version of Excel. When I went to import these contacts into Outlook it keeps
on telling me to go set up name ranges using the earlier version which I
don't have anymore. Does anyone understand what I'm talking about... I know
I really don't. Can anyone help??

I'm sorry I don't have any solution - but may be I have the same problem:
I have MS Outlook Express 6. I want to import a large address-book which I
have saved from Excel as a csv-file. The file looks all right to me, all
data fields are separated by a comma (,).
I follow this procedure (May be not quite right written here, my version is
in norwegian...):
Import
Another addressbook
Textfile (*.csv)
Import
Browse
Dbl-click correct file
Next
Then my option is only one datafield - obviously containing all data for
each contact.
What is wrong?

I'm having difficulty importing names and email addresses into Outlook
2003
from an excel file. I followed the steps described on the help site and
I'm
able to import JUST names or JUST emails...but not both in the same
contact
file. I've created columns with range names for each. Still the
information
is separated when I import. Anyone have a solution? Hope so. I have
almost
three hundred addresses to import...thank you.
