Save the attachment to your HDD. Right click on it and Open With | Choose
Program. Find and choose a program that works and then check the box: Always
use this program to open this kind of file. This should enable you to open
these attachments in the future.

My desk top PC has lost the ability to open Outlook Express attachments.
In
“Tools-Options-Security”, the two boxes that block attachments are
unchecked.
I get an error message reading,

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Create an association in the folders option control panel.”

When I go to the “Open With” window, I find that the "Outlook Express"
option is missing. How do I install the Outlook Express option back
into
the Open With window?

They only opens in Notpad and it's a mess. Would take too long to clean up for use.
