Default Why does incoming mail go to Outlook Express not Outlook?

Problem is solved (please refer to my reply to Gordon).

I do not think that this was the cause of the problem because, following a
continual server log-in error, we were eventually able to get the mail in
Outlook when I deleted my password and simply re-entered it. The problem was
that it would not retain after Outlook was closed, requiring me to repeat the
same process each time. At this point, we decided to check all settings.

I do, however, appreciate the information as this would, I assume, provide
additional functionality. I will certainly try it.

Many thanks.

By the way, I used to ride bikes but I now fly aeroplanes instead and can't
afford both!

delete when deleted from deleted.

Then you can download in Outlook and Outlook Express. and other computers.
i.e. laptop and desktop.
It serves as a good backup as well.

Ride safe

I recently transferred to NTL cable and have been using Outlook Express
for a
while without problems. I then recently obtained and installed Office XP
Pro
2002. During installation, a prompt detected that Express was installed
and I
was asked if I wished to upgrade to Outlook and transfer all data. I
accepted. Since then, my incoming mail still goes to Express only.

Firstly, don't open Outlook Express! Secondly, have you either set up your
email account in Outlook manually, or imported the Account settings from
outlook express?
