Distribution Lists, How to Set up?
From time to time, I get messages from professional organizations and
others that is clearly sent to a distribution list, but only my name
appears in the To: field.
Can I do something like that in Outlook?
Checking the archives, I see that one recommendation is to put the DL
in the BCC field. I just tried a test using that method. It does keep
the dl addresses hidden, but it appears to put my email address in the
To: field for all of the recipients. That is, I included several
contacts in the dl and the email they all received had MY email
address showing in the To: field.
Is there some way that I can get the actual recipient's email address
to show there?
Ideally, I would prefer that some title, such as "Bridge Group" appear
in the To: field so they know that they have received it from the
bridge group list.
The other suggestion I saw was to use mail merge. I have never done
that before. I thought it was for letters and envelopes. Can someone
give me the general steps to setting it up for this use?
Thanks
I currently have Outlook 2000, but will be upgrading to the latest
version oon when we get new computers.
