Thanks for your rather snotty reply. I have my Outlook working now. I do
wonder why MS doesn't hint that you need to use a "custom" installation to
get one of the most important components of Office 2007 Standard Edition...

Basic research through the Outlook/Office news groups would have given you the answer in the time it took you each to post your questions. Uninstall all prior versions of Outlook and then re-run setup using a custom installation. Make Outlook available.
