Hi Bruce

Thanks it worked! What I was omitting to do, was include the
FOLDERS.dbx
file. Once I included that it worked fine.

Many thanks.

news I have recently reinstalled Windows XP and would now like to import
my
old
emails into Outlook Express. I have located the .dbx files but when
I
use
FILE/IMPORT/MESSAGES/OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6/IMPORT MAIL FROM AN OE6
DIRECTORY/BROWSE

A message comes up saying:
No messages can be found in this folder or another application is
running
that has the required files open. Please select another folder or
try
closing applications that have files open.

Any ideas?
Thanks.
